When you choose to give, you become part of something bigger—something powerful.
Why give?
How does my donation contribute?
Your donation goes toward three things right now: restocking the art classroom with paint, brushes, canvas, and paper so students can keep creating week after week; funding the manufacturing and printing of the children's book, turning the poems and artwork students have already made into something they can actually hold; and supporting the restoration of the camp's library, giving students a space to read and gather that's been missing for years. Every gift you make goes directly into one of these three things — nothing gets set aside or spent elsewhere.
Who will my donation help?
Your donation will help the children at the refugee camp and support the local community. The kids at the refugee camp face extreme conditions, and any type of hope we can give them is extremely valuable. By providing them with a space for creativity, they are able to express themselves and find hope and opportunity amidst daily stresses. Art is such an important resource that all kids should be able to have access to, and by donating today, you can help give a child the gift of art.
Why is support needed right now?
The Dzaleka refugee camp is managed by the Malawi government under its encampment policy. In 2025, the camp received only 22% of the funding it needed after the UNHCR lost much of its support. With the UNHCR stepping back, Dzaleka faces severe shortages, leaving refugees vulnerable. Programs that give children a chance to express themselves through art are vital, offering hope and a small light in the difficult conditions of the camp.
